5 of Our Favourite Bar Stools

5 of Our Favourite Bar Stools

Here at The Main Company, we’ve long been fans of the humble breakfast bar and it’s versatile nature in the kitchen. Perfect for gathering together as a family for a quick bite to eat, the breakfast bar is also great for those evenings when you’re looking to enjoy a lengthy meal with good friends and plenty of wine. As the social hub of the kitchen, perching at the breakfast bar provides the opportunity to socialise and catch up on each other’s day whilst dinner is cooking; plus it’s perfectly positioned to keep half an eye on homework progress. As a staple in so many of our bespoke kitchen designs, here are 5 of our favourite bar stool designs that will complement and complete your look.

Industrial Leather Bar Stool

The Industrial Leather Bar Stool from Rockett St George is an insider favourite, having been used in our director’s kitchen at home in Yorkshire. With its simple structure, dark tan leather and pale stitching, this bar stool is perfect for more rustic, industrial kitchen settings. Click here to discover it in more detail in our Cattal Street Kitchen Project.

Curved Top Oak Stool

With its chunky modern design and beautiful natural oak finish, the Curved Top Oak Stool from Cox & Cox is ideal for sophisticated Shaker-style kitchens. Available in Eau de Nil and Charcoal as well as Raw Oak, the Curved Top Stool will blend effortlessly with all manner of individual styles in the kitchen.

Audrey Mid-Century Style Bar Stool

Sleek and suitably stylish, the Audrey Bar Stool from Swoon Editions takes its inspiration from iconic Mid-Century furniture and promises to transport you to the coolest cosmopolitan restaurants. Opt for rich Forest Green or Dark Navy for an on-trend look or choose the Light Grey stool for more neutral kitchen schemes.

The Counter Height Bum Stool

The Bum Stool from DeVol was awarded the Design Guild Mark for excellence in 2017 and was chosen to compliment the rich midnight blue cabinetry and hand aged reclaimed oak in our Rushmere kitchen project. Crafted from elm and oak, design details have been carefully considered to ensure ultimate comfort. Click here to see the final finish of our bespoke Rushmere kitchen.

Georg Bar Stool

The Georg Bar Stool is designed by Danish brand Skagerak and stocked at Amara. Combining Scandinavian influence with a hint of pared-back industrial style, the design features a simple solid oak structure, accompanied by a neutral woven seat cushion held in place with a leather strap. The Georg Bar Stool is available in either Black or Oak to suit Scandi or rustic kitchens alike.
