Available in limited quantities, every piece of wood has a story to tell and has been salvaged from a variety of interesting buildings including Old Textile Mills, European Barns and historic buildings such as the Allied Bakery. Each and every plank has been meticulously handcrafted and restored by on-site experts in Green Hammerton located between the historic city of York and spa town of Harrogate. As one of the UK’s largest suppliers of reclaimed timber, The Main Company works to your specification, using state-of-the-art-machinery and an on site kiln to provide the highest quality reclaimed flooring that will stand the test of time. Most of the reclaimed wood is engineered, lamellas are cut from the old oak and cold pressed to sustainable and emission friendly (EC1) birch plywood. The engineering process makes the reclaimed wood compatible with underfloor heating as the engineering process makes the boards up to 80% more stable than solid reclaimed timber. If you have your heart set on solid reclaimed timber this will not be a problem all reclaimed flooring is available in both solid & engineered construction.
